Huber Park

Huber Park Playground

Huber Park is a 24-acre park located along the Minnesota River in downtown Shakopee.  Nestles between the river and the vibrant downtown is a unique and beautiful site for a wedding, special event, church service, theatrical production, concert  or community/family gathering.  The park's trail system connects to the Minnesota Valley State Trail with access to Chaska, Bloomington, Louisville Swamp and the Minnesota River Bottoms recreation areas.

Historically, Huber Park was known as Recreation Park until 1962, when it was named after Edward J. Huber, president of the First National Bank in Shakopee. He spearheaded the project of erecting the Scout cabin in the park (later torn down after several floods), and he was very involved with tree planting and adding other facilities to the park.

Community Playground

The Huber Park community playground, opened in 2023, has an accessible surface and activities for all ages.  Fun seekers can find swings, a zipline, two merry-go-rounds, a toddler play area, slides and more!  Picnic tables, benches and restrooms nearby.

Amphitheater & Shelter Reservations
The amphitheater features a terraced concrete and grass seating for approximate 500.  Rentals have limited exclusive use of the amphitheater and park shelter area.  This is a beautiful location for a outdoor wedding or other celebration.
