How to Submit a Noise Report
Live Nation has requested that Mystic Lake Amphitheater noise reports be submitted directly to them at the time you are experiencing noise issues.Call 952-697-7600 to speak directly to a Live Nation representative. You may also email mysticlakeamp@livenation.com; however, please be aware that Live Nation will be unable to send a representative to measure the decibel levels if reports are made the day after a concert.
Is the City doing anything to address amphitheater noise?
The City and Live Nation are continuing to address noise concerns as they arise and are actively partnering on further mitigating the auditory impacts of the amphitheater.As of September, Live Nation has done the following in response to feedback from community members and the City:
- Installed sound-dampening materials in the bowl of the amphitheater
- Modified the placement of the stage's upper speakers so the soundwaves are directed downward into the bowl
- Reduced the volume of speakers located in outer gathering areas where sound travels more easily
- Deployed staff to locations of noise complaints to measure what residents are experiencing and work on individual mitigation efforts
City staff has also been in contact with Minnesota Pollution Control Agency staff, who have offered additional monitoring equipment that can be staged in neighborhoods.
The travel of sound is impacted by meteorological factors like cloud cover, wind direction, humidity, and temperature, so there may be anomalies in how far amphitheater sound travels depending on the weather.
