The victim in the May 27 shooting has been identified as Khalid Ibrahim Abdi, a 26-year-old man from Shakopee. A suspect was taken into custody at approximately 8:35 a.m. Thursday, May 28, and is being held in Scott County Jail pending charges.

At approximately 9:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, Shakopee Police officers responded to a weapons complaint at Canterbury Park.
Officers found a 26-year-old male with multiple gun shot wounds. The victim was transferred to HCMC. He was attending a prayer service at the Expo.
