Submit photos to the Show Off Shakopee Photo Contest through Sept. 30

Submissions for the 2026 Show Off Shakopee Photo Contest are open Sept. 1 - 30.

This year's categories are:

• Uniquely Shakopee: What do you think sets Shakopee apart from other cities?
• Innovating: Let's see your best takes on the concept of innovation in Shakopee.
• Entertaining: From local chill to big thrills, show us what you find entertaining in our city.
• Thriving: What does our thriving community look like through your lens? 
• Budding Photographer: This category is for youth photographers ages 17 or younger, and the subject of the photos can be anything in Shakopee.

Finalists will be chosen by the city's Communications Department staff using a process that removes identifying information from each submission. All city staff will then be given one week to vote for their favorite photo in each category to determine the contest winners. Winners will receive a notification from the city by Friday, Oct. 16, with recognition from the City Council to take place in November.

The Grand Prize Winner will earn a $100 cash prize, and Category Winners earn a cash prize of $50 each.

Photos submitted to the contest may be used by the City of Shakopee in future promotional and marketing materials.
