The station opened in June 1998. At 25,990 square feet, it was designed to handle the department's growth. The meeting room seats 125, and the apparatus area has five double-deep drive-through bays.
In 2020, temporary sleeping quarters were added for 24/7 staffing. In 2024, a remodel added four private dorm rooms and updated the fire administration office area.

Fire Station 2 opened in 2012 and offers 15,000 square feet of space, including five apparatus bays and an office for part-time fire officers.
