2026 Picnic Shelter Rentals
- Shelter Reservations will be accepted beginning January 2, 2026.
- Shelter Reservations for Lions Park will not be accepted until February 2, 2026, due to parking lot construction timeframe unknowns.
The City’s park and trail system offers a variety of facilities and shelters. For exclusive use of a facility for a given date and time, a shelter reservation is required and can be made by contacting the Parks and Recreation office at least seven days in advance of the proposed date(s) of usage. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Rental fees must be paid with the reservation form. Shakopee park hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Special use permits are required for activities such as amplified or live music, pig roasts, large barbecues, inflatables, dunk tanks, weddings, car shows, Disc golf tournaments, or events open to the public. There may be an additional charge for these events. Contact 952-233-9500 for more information.

Park Shelter Rentals & Fees
- Reservations accepted first business day in January for present year (except for Huber Park)

- Reservation is not final until payment is made in full
Open Air Park Shelter: $120
- Available April 1-November 1
- No deposit required
- Locations: Quarry Lake Park, Lions Park
Enclosed Park Shelter: $140
- Available April 1-Nov. 1
- $100 refundable damage deposit due at time of reservation
- Locations: Green Meadows Park, Hiawatha Park, Holmes Park, Ridge Creek Park, Scenic Heights Park, Southbridge Community Park and Westminster Park
Huber Park Picnic Shelter Only: $120
- Available May 1- November 1 (Available within 30 days of your requested date)
- Location: Huber Park

Outdoor Facilities
The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the coordination and use permits for all City-owned park facilities, including disc golf courses, hockey rinks, soccer fields, ball diamonds, and trails.
