Summer Parks & Recreation Registration Begins

Program registration for all summer Parks & Recreation activities begins Tuesday, March 18 at www.parksandrec.ShakopeeMN.gov for all methods of registration – online, in-person, by mail or fax. Parks & Recreation recommends using the online system since it provides real-time information on spots available. If you haven’t used our new online account system yet, be sure to register in advance for a household account at www.parksandrec.ShakopeeMN.gov. Simply follow the directions on the homepage.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted. 

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department. 

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
