The Human Resources division provides personnel services to the City of Shakopee. Its primary responsibilities including hiring staff and administering various human resources programs and policies. The city currently has a staff of 165 full time employees and more than 200 part-time and seasonal employees.

Minnesota Statute 471.701 requires that “a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of the three highest-paid employees.”
