How to dispose of items not accepted by DSI?

Clean Up Day is an annual event for residents to dispose of recyclable and non-recyclable refuse.

Scott County Household Hazardous Waste Facility accepts a variety of household and business waste.

Organics Recycling Facility accepts yard waste and other compostable items. Service is free to Shakopee residents Sundays in April, May, September and October.

Unused medication can be discarded safely through Scott County's Take It to the Box program.

Check out a list of regional facilities that collect or recycle a variety of waste materials. For more specialized materials such as appliances, batteries, construction and demolition debris, and other waste, please visit the Waste Navigator (scott.mn.us) for more information.
