Project Background 

Nuvera Communications began a multi-year fiber installation project in July 2024. The first phase of the project is located in the Southbridge neighborhood, located north and west of County Road 21, adjacent to Southbridge Parkway. The project will include installation of fiber internet services within the City’s right-of-way and drainage and utility easements.

Residents in the area can expect to receive mail from Nuvera with the details of the project and information about signing up for fiber service when it becomes available. 

This construction project is permitted by the City’s Engineering Department and must be completed in conformance with City Code and Engineering Department specifications.

This project will include: 

• Installation by trenchless construction through boring conduits underground extending from bore pits
• Pedestal installation on property lines to allow for future service connections
• Temporarily filling construction holes with sand while crews complete construction in the area
• Filling the construction holes with topsoil and seed once construction is complete
