The Engineering Division is responsible for all city infrastructure construction projects. The city partners with area governmental entities, including Scott County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation, on projects that impact the greater region.

Upcoming/Future Projects
Projects under design with future construction dates:
- Marystown Road Corridor Study: The City of Shakopee, in partnership with Scott County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), developed the future vision for County Highway 15/Marystown Road/Adams Street from Vierling Drive to County Highway 16 (17th Avenue West).
- Marystown Road Trail Connection: The city plans to construct a multi-use trail on both sides of Marystown Road to close a gap in the city's trail system.
