Join the Parks & Recreation Department for a day of fishing in Lions Park from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 28 in Lions Park Shelter #1. Let's Go Fishing exposes youth to fishing opportunities by stocking neighborhood ponds. Food, drinks, goodies and prizes are part of this event. First 100 registered will receive a free rod/reel combo.

Event is for ages 5 to 15; youth under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Fee is $5. Register with program code YPSE 628 online at http://parksandrec.shakopeemn.gov. Space is limited.

No experience is need and all gear will be provided; however, you may bring your own fishing pole if you'd like. Sponsored by the Shakopee Lions Club, DNR's Fishing in the Neighborhood program, the Outdoor Heritage Education Center, Parks & Recreation and Terry Hennen's Sport Stop.
