Join the City of Shakopee in breaking ground on the Shakopee Ice Arena and Community Center improvements project at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 1 on the Community Center campus, 1255 Fuller St. S.
The City is embarking on a $30.4 million improvements project, which includes:
- Construction of a new, two-sheet ice arena
- Remodeling the existing Community Center to add a community room, indoor playground, drop-off child care, senior lounge and teen center
- Addition of a 24,500-square-foot aquatic center with zero-depth-entry pool, water slide and lap pool
- Enhancements to fitness center and studios
Members of the Shakopee City Council and Park & Recreation Advisory Board will participate in the groundbreaking event. The community is invited to attend and learn more about the project. Refreshments will be served.
