In honor of National Fire Prevention Month, join the Fire Department at its annual Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at Fire Station 1, 2700 Vierling Drive E.

This free event includes a jumpy house, fire extinguisher training, water hose spraying, CPR education, smoke detector awareness, fire station tours and free hot dogs, chips, popcorn and beverages.
