Civil War and Scott County Presentation

  • Intro Text 10-11 a.m. at Shakopee Community Center; RSVP requested

Seniors (55+) are invited to a free presentation about Scott County and the Civil War from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 7 in the Community Room at the Shakopee Community Center, 1255 Fuller St. S.

The Civil War holds great fascination for many, but the military history of the conflict tends to overshadow many other aspects of that period. Scott County not only had hundreds of men fighting on the front lines, but was also full of surprising home-front stories.

Please RSVP to Senior Coordinator Carla Kress at 952-233-9516 by Wednesday, May 31. Civil War presentation is sponsored
by McNearny & Schmidt Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
