In honor of National Fire Prevention Month, join the Fire Department at its annual Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at Fire Station 1, 2700 Vierling Drive E.

This free event includes a live burn demonstration at 1 p.m., fire truck tours, a bounce house, fire extinguisher training, water hose spraying and light snacks, popcorn and refreshments.
