Help shape the future of Shakopee by attending a Community Visioning Workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at Shakopee Community Center, 1255 Fuller St. S.

At the workshop, participate with several interactive stations designed to open conversation and inspire visionary thinking about the future of Shakopee. You will get the chance to provide your ideas and priorities for the future of our community. There will be map activities and discussion stations that focus on specific topics and places in Shakopee, as well as our city as a whole. A brief presentation starts at 6:45 p.m.

This dynamic workshop starts at 6:30 p.m. with an overview of the planning process, what we have learned about Shakopee so far and the many ways to get involved in the process. Then, you’ll be invited to ask questions, participate in each interactive workshop station and have one-on-one conversations with city staff and the planning consultant team. The results of this workshop will be developed into planning themes and principles to guide the plan and help shape recommendations as the process continues.
