Forget the flood and support downtown businesses affected by the Highway 101 closure. Bring your family to downtown Shakopee from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 27 for a chance to play in the street.

Hang out in the middle of First Avenue while the Shakopee Fire Department shoots water into the air to create a temporary First Avenue Splash Pad. 

To accommodate the event, the City will be closing First Avenue between Holmes Street and Lewis Street from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Signs will be posted.

Also taking place in downtown Shakopee Friday is the Minnesota Valley Rally car show, so portions of Lewis Street are also closed.

The First Avenue event will be held rain or shine with the exception of severe weather.
