The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community and Downtown Shakopee invite the public to join us for the unveiling of the Chief Sakpe statue that will welcome residents and visitors to our historic downtown district.

The ceremony will start at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 under the River City Centre at the clock tower and feature words from Mayor Bill Mars and the SMSC General Council, as well as dances by the SMSC. There will be light refreshments following the dedication at Turtle's Social Centre.
