A preconstruction open house for the County Highway 83 and Fourth Avenue Intersection Reconstruction project [PDF] will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Shakopee City Hall, 485 Gorman St.

Scott County is reconstructing the County Highway 83 and Fourth Avenue intersection in 2018. This project will add turn lanes, raised center concrete median, shoulders and trails. The project will also reduce direct private driveway access onto County Highway 83 by relocation of driveways to city streets. The intersection is anticipated to be fully closed April through August 2018 with work continuing into October.

At the open house, you will have the opportunity to review the project and tentative construction schedule with the construction project manager and identify concerns about the proposed traffic control and road closures.

This is an informal open house meeting. No presentation will be given. County and city staff will be available to discuss issues and listen to your concerns. Maps and more information will be available for review and are available on the project website.
