Community Bike Ride

Join the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department and the Shakopee Bicycle Advisory Committee for summer community bike rides through Shakopee. Whether you are just a beginner, avid biker or a family of bikers, these non-competitive, leisure bike rides are a great way to explore Shakopee's bike trails. Bike helmets recommended.

  • May: 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at Lions Park, 1099 Adams St.
  • June: 6 p.m. Monday, June 18 at Huber Park, 150 Fillmore St. N.
  • July: Noon Saturday, July 7 at Wilkie Unit Parking Lot, 7701 County Highway 101
  • August: 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 at 17th Avenue Sports Complex, 2600 17th Ave.

These are free bike rides; no registration required.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted. 

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department. 

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
