Bark in the Park

Bark in the Park FlyerJoin the Shakopee Police Department and Scott County Sheriff's Office for Bark in the Park from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at Southbridge Community Park.

Bark in the Park is a crime awareness program. With so many people walking their dogs, there’s an opportunity for citizens to become more effective observers and reporters of suspicious activity. Along with law enforcement, local vendors and rescue organizations will be in attendance with giveaways and prizes. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office K9 Deputy Floyd will also be demonstrating his skills.

This is a free event open to the public.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted.

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department.

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
