The Shakopee Police Department is hosting its 16th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics on Wednesday, June 19. The public is invited to participate in the run and help raise funds for Special Olympics.
The 5K starts at 9 a.m. at the Police Department, 475 Gorman St. Runners, bicyclists and rollerbladers welcome. A vehicle will be available for anyone who needs a break.
Register in-person at 8:30 a.m. day of the race. The registration fee is $20 and includes a T-shirt. All proceeds go directly to the Special Olympics.
The Special Olympics will also be donating used bicycles as door prizes. Anyone who participates will be eligible for the bicycles.
