Splash, Flash & Dash Kids Triathlon

The Splash, Flash & Dash Kids Triathlon will be Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Community Center. Participants, ages 6-9, will compete in the three events: biking, running and swimming. 

Participants will bike one mile, run a half mile, and swim 100 meters. Participants are required to provide all equipment, including a bike, goggles, swim suit, shoes, towel and helmet. Participants should be able to swim without the assistance of flotation devices. Lifeguards will be on the pool deck and volunteers and staff will be along the bike and running routes to provide directions and help if needed. Event check-in is 8:15-8:45 a.m.

All participants will receive a T-shirt and refreshments following the race.

Register online at www.ShakopeeMN.gov/registration using program code YPSE 928 by Sept. 13. Fee is $20.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted. 

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department. 

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
