In honor of National Fire Prevention Week, join the Fire Department at its annual Open House from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7 at Fire Station 1, 2700 Vierling Drive E. This is a free event open to all ages!

The open house includes kids activities, fire truck tours, the opportunity to spray a fire hose, bounce house and lil' firefighter training scenario.

National Fire Prevention Week is Oct. 6-12, 2019. This year's theme is "Not Every Hero Wears a Cape."
