Parkinson's Foundation Hockey Exhibition Game - Postponed

UPDATE MARCH 13, 2020: Due to precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the exhibition game will be postponed. A new date is TBD. Find updates about the city's response to COVID-19.

Join local hockey legends as they take the ice in support of the Parkinson’s community at the Shakopee Ice Arena.

As an annual family friendly event, the Parkinson's Foundation Hockey Exhibition Game offers an opportunity for hockey fans to meet NHL alumni players, take to the ice as a part of our kids open skate, participate in the kid’s skills competition (sign up on-site at the event) and experience an exhibition game between players and local youth hockey coaches.

1:30-3 p.m. Kid's Skills Competition (Rink 1)
1:30-3:30 p.m. Kid's Skate - Open Ice (Rink 2)
4:07 p.m. Puck Drop

Tickets can be purchased online or at the event. Children 5 and under receive free event admission.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted. 

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department. 

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
