The holidays can be a difficult time for those struggling with the loss of a loved one. Join Brittany Squillance, MA, LAMFT (grief counselor) as she helps attendees identify obstacles of the holidays, explore the family dynamics of grief and gain tools to engage in self-care. This is a free event, but registration is required. Sign up now through Nov. 13 at ShakopeeMN.gov/registration and use the code SE 1117.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted.

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department.

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
