Family Kicksledding

Slide into this winter by enjoying the outdoors riding on a kicksled with your family! Have the freedom to explore, race or even push each other around. Don’t know what kicksled is or how to use it? No problem. Carver County Parks and Recreation's trained instructors will show you how to enjoy the kicksled. Each family member must register.

This program is $12 per person and is for ages 8 and older. Register online at www.ShakopeeMN.gov/registration using code YPSE 123. Registration deadline is one week prior to event.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted. 

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department. 

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
