The Annual Fire Dept. Water Fights pit firefighters from around the region against each other in a contest of skill and teamwork. 

Firefighter teams from across Scott and Carver counties come together and use pumper trucks and fire hoses to shoot water at a barrel, pushing it closer to the opposing team. If the barrel crosses the line on the opponent's side, that's game. 

This year's competition will start at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, August 4, in the 200 block of Fuller Street S.
