Join the Fire Department at its annual Open House from 5–7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Fire Station 1, 2700 Vierling Drive E. This is a free event open to all ages!

The open house will feature kids' activities, light refreshments, fire truck tours, and the opportunity to spray a fire hose and rescue a teddy bear from a training room. There will also be a residential fire sprinkler demonstration at 5:45 p.m., a vehicle fire demonstration at 6:45 p.m., and ongoing demonstrations of the underwater dive team.
