SandVenture Aquatic Park Opens

  • Intro Text Aquatic park opens for the 2015 season

Mark your calendar for the opening of Shakopee’s favorite summer destination: SandVenture Aquatic Park!

SandVenture, which is located at Lions Park, features a sand-bottom chlorinated pool, sand beach, waterslides, diving board, swimming lessons, special events and more. Memberships are available and can be purchased at the Community Center.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted. 

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department. 

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
