The Citizen Police Academy provides participants the ability (through practical application) to gain perspective on the many challenges faced by law enforcement officers. The academy is held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, May 7-June 18.

The six-week program is designed to provide residents insight on the inner working of the Shakopee Police Department. Participants will be exposed to several facets of the Department and participate in several of the same training programs through which Shakopee Police Officers experience.
