Wheelies Bike Event

Update: Tonight's Wheelies Bike Event has been moved to the Community Center, 1255 Fuller St. S. Bike ride with the Mayor and candy grab have been canceled.

Join Shakopee Parks and Recreation, Police Department, Community Education and Allina Health for the 23rd annual Wheelies Family Bike Event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11 at Huber Park.

This free event includes Police surplus bike silent auction, door prizes, free refreshments and snacks, kids trike and training-wheel races, bike registration, safety and educational handouts, and helmet giveaway by Allina Health.

Stay for a free performance by The Splatter Sisters at 7 p.m. in the teen center.

Submission Guidelines

Eligible organizations may request that the city promote events using city communication tools. Events must be open to the public and community oriented. Posting of event information is based on available space and available staff resources to make the posting. A request to display an event does not guarantee that it will be posted. 

Eligible organizations are government organizations; Shakopee-based, not-for-profit or nonprofit entities; and city-recognized service organizations and athletic associations affiliated with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department. 

City staff will not be responsible for the design of promotional materials. Ongoing or recurring events (i.e. monthly or weekly events) will not be posted. The city reserves the right to edit message information for space, clarity or content. If the city requires edits, city staff will inform the individual making the request.
