The popular Pop-Up Splash Pad returns to downtown Shakopee for two Friday evenings. Kids (and adults) are invited to cool off under the spray of a Shakopee Fire truck on First Avenue from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 24. This is a free event!

Check out classic cars during the Minnesota Valley Rally Car Show, enjoy free music and catch up with neighbors and friends! First Avenue will be closed from Lewis Street to Holmes Street for the pop-up splash pad.

Where to park?

Several streets will be closed for the splash pad and car rally, including First Avenue from Lewis to Holmes Street and Lewis Street from First to Third. No parking on these streets begins at 4:30 p.m. If you park on them earlier in the day, please remember to move your car.

What happens if it rains?

The splash pad event is held rain or shine. However, if the weather is stormy, we may have to cancel. If there is any lightning within a 10-mile radius, we have to put down our fire truck ladder and end the event. Updates will be posted on the Parks & Recreation weather hotline at (952) 233-9502.
