Canterbury Crossing is a proposed 164-unit development with 56 senior co-op housing and 108 townhome units through a planned unit development and concurrent preliminary/final plat on 13.962 acres. The proposed development is located west of the intersection of Shenandoah Drive and Schenian Street and north of Eagle Creek Boulevard. The property is currently zoned Major Recreation and is proposed to be rezoned to a Planned Unit Development.
Alignment to Community Priorities and Goals
The proposed development is in compliance with the Comprehensive Plan, which guides this property as Entertainment District – Canterbury Park and an example of an allowed use including residential development. The project provides a type of housing that fills a need in the community and keeps long-time Shakopee residents in their hometown while expanding the opportunities afforded to new homeowners.

Community Impact
Canterbury Crossing will provide a 164-unit residential development as well as designed pedestrian system that connects to the city’s trail/sidewalk system and maximizes the potential for pedestrian access to the existing and planned amenities.
