Canterbury Southwest is a new mixed-use development located at 1150 Shenandoah Drive that includes the proposed future uses:

  • 7,000 square-foot sit down restaurant (Outlot E, 3.08 acres)
  • Four-story, 136-unit market rate senior apartment building (Outlot A, 3.50 acres)
  • Four-story, 95-room hotel (Outlot B, 1.79 acres)
  • Two-story, 26,900 square-foot office building (Outlot C, 1.45 acres)
  • Two 11,000 square-foot retail/fast casual restaurant buildings (Outlot D, 1.55 acres)
  • 1.68 acre commercial lot (Lot 1, Block 1)

Alignment to Community Priorities and Goals

The development fits with the goals and priorities of the Major Recreation Zone, community and the comprehensive plan by sensitively integrating development with the natural landscape through the planning of entire land ownership as a unit to accommodate a growing population, preserving a high amount of high priority trees designated by the city and adding pedestrian facilities.

Community Impact

The proposal creates one lot and several outlots that will be reviewed later as development occurs. This sets the various lots for development with possible building locations and parking with landscaping. Each parcel will require a planned unit development amendment prior to any construction. The project may include a mix of uses including office, retail/commercial/restaurant, hotel and residential.
