A: The following components of the project have been completed or are underway:

As of early September, the vast majority of work has been completed, with primarily punch list items remaining. Crews also need to fill the pool to ensure all the new plumbing components are working properly.

A: SandVenture's new amenities will include: 

• A fixed, umbrella-shaded boardwalk spanning the pool to separate the shallow end from deeper water
• New water features in the shallow end, like those seen at splash pads
• Water basketball
• A pirate ship jumping platform in the deep end, with two heights from which to jump
• Water basketball
• A new playground on the beach with a pirate ship theme
• An all-new pool building that is twice the square footage of the old one, with space for Tommy’s Malt Shop, changing rooms, restrooms, lockers, and a community room

The existing large yellow waterslide and smaller plunge slides will remain features of the pool.
