Shakopee Parks and Recreation partners with Go4Gold Skating Academy to provide skating opportunities for beginner, intermediate and advanced skaters.

Opportunities include a variety of learn to skate, adaptive, homeschooler and elite training programs.

The city program is offered at the Shakopee Ice Arena with all instruction delivered by Go4Gold staff.

Skate Programs

• Learn to Skate: Group lessons for all levels using the Learn to Skate USA curriculum.
• Little Gold Stars: Introductory program to competitive figure skating offering group and private instruction on and off the ice.
• Little Hockey Gold Stars: Aimed at Mite and Mini Mite hockey players, this power skating program improves edges, balance, speed, strength and agility.
• Junior Gold Stars: Young, auditioned skaters follow a more advanced path and learn how to train for competitive figure skating.
• The Academy: A full-day competitive figure skating training program for all levels, beginner to elite.
