Scott County is hosting an open house for the proposed County Highway 42 Improvement Project [PDF] from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 at Cross of Peace Lutheran Church, 1506 Wood Duck Trail, Shakopee.

Scott County is proposing to update the 1.3-mile segment from County Highway 17 to County Highway 83 from a rural two-lane to a four-lane divided highway. Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2020.

At the open house, you will have the opportunity to review the project process and schedule, identify existing concerns and issues at the intersections and along the corridor and assist in developing potential solutions to existing and future problems in the project area.

This is an informal open house meeting. No presentation will be given. Your input will ensure the project team develops a comprehensive understanding of the issues along the corridor from those who use the roadway every day. County and city staff will be available to discuss issues and listen to your concerns. Maps and more information will be available for review.
